Nice post Jerry. I always find it puzzling why creationists et. al. want to keep/make the universe a smaller, younger place. Why not look at the larger picture science has learned (that our world, our universe, is much, much more vast and varied than the bible says), and say, “Wow! my God is even more creative and wonderful than anyone has ever imagined”
    Hmm?

    Hey Eric,

Well put. I agree, the bible is so easily used as a prison for the Christian mind. When I broke free, there seemed to be so much more for me to explore, discover and imagine. I wonder, though, if an evolutionary world (macro and micro) has too many deistic underpinnings for most Christians.

    Thanks for dropping by.

Do you mean that as just one more thing that pokes holes in that prison Christianity (and the bible) provides for them?
